Mission Statement

The purpose of ‘Citizens for a Better Brunswick’ is to provide residents of Brunswick with an opportunity to become more involved in their local city government. Goals include improving communication between residents, City Council, and the city administration and working with city officials to help make decisions and changes which will consistently strive to make Brunswick a better place to live, work and do business.

Founded

October 2001 by Karla McIntosh in response to (former) Brunswick City Manager Skip Trimble not allowing City firefighters to collect donations to aid the victims of September 11th.

Membership

Currently over fifty registered members and an email list of over 100. Membership is $10.00 per year for an individual, $13.00 for a family. Membership fees help cover costs of postage, copies, special projects, etc. The email list is free.

Meeting Schedule

Meetings are held on the first Saturday of every month at 10:00 am. Previously meetings have been held in the Board Room of the Brunswick Public Library, but the location may change in September 2003.
